The GDPR, for who, for what and for when?

New European regulation

The GDPR, a new mandatory European standard in May 2018 wants to face the digital drift! This new regulation will affect all the business regardless of sector of activity, size or turnover and will significantly change the management and retention of the personal data. Discover the new obligations imposed on the business and the practical details of the GDPR.

What are the points of attention for the GDPR?

The GDPR mainly affects personal data but will also impact your company from an organizational, technical and legal point of view. It is therefore essential to be surrounded by partners capable of fulfilling the three domains...

How long do you need to be up to date?

The EU gave at the companies two years to make the necessary changes and implementations.

A year has already elapsed. In less than one year, ALL the companies will have to be able to demonstrate that they meet the new requirements.

What are the risks to you and your business ?

Starting in May 2018, the companies that do not comply with these new requirements will incur some huge fines (up to 4% of turnover or 20,000,000€!). In addition, an independent will have a right of action in liability to obtain a compensation.

In practice ?

We have listed 6 important phases for an upgrade to the RGPD:
- Designate an internal pilot
- Mapping all the processing of your personal data (performed by an external partner)
- Prioritize the actions to be taken
- Managing risks
- Organize the internal processes and upgrade the data protection tools (Web, Internal,...)
- Create the documentation

What would be the benefits for you and your business ?

The business in compliance will be awarded a label allowing the Internet users to identify you as a responsible and trusted partner.

Conversely, the absence of a label will tarnish the image of the negligent companies.
